Phone Recordings

August 29th, 2006 — 1:50am

I found a nice site with tons of errorous phone recordings. I set one as my answering machine for my cell, gotta say its fun, if not immature. These are the recording you hear when you dial the wrong number. For instance, pick up your phone and call 000-012-3456, you’ll get a message like this. Or, if you go to a pay phone, and dont insert a coin, you’d get this.

There’s a TON there from a TON of difrent providers, it’s awesome.

AUSTIN (AP) — Its nickname is Godzillatron.

Frankly, no other word would do justice to the monstrous new football stadium scoreboard at Texas.

Towering over the south end zone at 55 feet tall and 134 feet wide, it is more than just a Texas-sized upgrade of the scoreboard at Royal-Memorial Stadium, home of the defending national champions.

WhatPulse

August 27th, 2006 — 2:35am

I just stumbled upon WhatPulse and it’s an interesting concept, I must say. Kind of like the uptime project.

WhatPulse opens a so-called "keyhook" when it’s booted, which listens to incoming Windows messages about the keyboard, the keyhook sends these messages to the program itself, and the program first determines if the key pressed is a proper key (Every standard keyboards’ keys are counted) and then simply does PreviousKeyCount + 1.

Pulsing: When you "pulse", you’re actually sending your keycounts in the program to the server along with other information about your Account, so the server can decide where to put the keycount. If the pulse goes according to plan, the server sends back an "OK", and the client’s keycount is reset to 0 (zero), and your previous keys are added to your profile in the server database! :) And for all you people who are thinking "oeh mi god a keylogger, no way!", well, exactly, No way. WhatPulse is not and never will be any sort of keylogger, it does not collect the keys you type, but only how many keys you type.

Just signed up. Check it out, it’s at www.whatpulse.org
